Memex Federated Search

Within an organization, users need to search vast amounts of data and cross reference that data to identify links and patterns that would not otherwise be found. Searching each individual data source separately is labor intensive and prone to error.  Importing all external data into Memex is often not possible, due to an organization’s legal, technical or integration limitations.  These data sources include unconnected data sources, in addition to the core intelligence within the Memex Series VI platform e.g. subscription-based services such as LexisNexis®, and additional internal or third party data sources.

Access to these disparate data sources enables organizations to gain insight into all the intelligence available, and helps them make faster decisions based on information which is both current and accurate.

The Memex Federated Search (MFS) provides a single, simultaneous and real-time search of all data sources, including Memex core intelligence, from within Memex itself.  A “federated” search from within Memex returns a single consolidated list of results to a specific search query, having automatically searched every individual data source separately and collated all the results for you.

Memex Federated Search saves organizations vast amounts of time, by avoiding the need to perform separate search across all data sources, and allows them to avoid the expense and resource burden of integrating multiple data sources into their Memex system. It enables faster, more effective decision making in response to potential threats.
