Memex supports operation Yellow Ribbon

Conference Highlights Challenges and Solutions for our Nation’s Disabled Veterans

STERLING, Va. – March 24, 2010 – Memex, Inc., announced today that Consultant Bill Patrowicz was a panelist during Operation Yellow Ribbon last night in Nashville, Tenn.

Operation Yellow Ribbon convened leaders from national veterans’ organizations to share best practices regarding the rehabilitation and care of disabled veterans transitioning into civilian life.

Patrowicz, an Army veteran, has been relentless in finding corporations that are willing to adopt transitioning veterans. So far, he has discovered nearly 400 opportunities and continues to expand these efforts through the non-profit WarriorWorks, Inc., a company he founded.

“We focus on those veterans who are not yet ready for work. We provide mentorship and training in order to help them to start over at their own pace. This is a critical time period for them, and I think we've got a good process to help them grow into meaningful new careers,” Patrowicz said.

Patrowicz, who recently returned to Memex, added, “I'm fortunate to be back with the Memex family. We're really passionate about law enforcement technology, and the company is very supportive of my efforts to help veterans.”

Operation Yellow Ribbon was held on the campus of Lipscomb University, and hosted by the school and Challenge America. General Tommy Franks (ret.) and Jeff Arnold, founder of WebMD, served as the distinguished speakers for the event. Charlie Daniels, Amy Grant and friends performed at the evening's fundraiser.
