Peter Ship

Peter was a serving Police Officer for 30 years, working predominantly in New Scotland Yard’s (NSY) Specialist Crime Directorate, investigating organised and serious crime. During this time he received an exceptional ten commendations for leading successful major enquiries.

Peter Ship joined Memex in June 2008, having retired as a Detective Chief Inspector in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). Since joining Memex, Peter has worked with customers in both law enforcement and the commercial sector to develop and improve their intelligence systems. Peter has led the development of Memex’s ‘End to End Policing Solution’ for UK Law enforcement. This includes the recently released Integrated ‘Crime and Intelligence Management Solution’ and the updated ‘Covert Human Intelligence Source’ System. The ongoing development of the end to end Solution is based upon the National Intelligence Model ethos of managing all information, as well as maximising the practical benefits of technological advances to improve performance.

Peter was involved in the collation, management and use of intelligence in numerous roles and has been instrumental in the development of NSY Intelligence Units. Indeed, during the last three years of his Police career, Peter led the strategic review of intelligence systems.
